By His Side

As I've said before Mia and Macky are best buds. Macky has had some set backs again and was not doing well, so Mia remained at his side at all times.....expect when we went to the Vet...she opted out on that. Plus Mia is not able to go on any outings at this time. She doesn't like to see her buddy down and its been a tough few days for him again. I think we are in for some real ups and downs as time goes on.

Jerzee Girl

Today Jerzee Girl...ZeeZee for short joined the family to become another Florida girl. She will be two years old in March and weighs all of four pounds. Macky was quite smitten with her I think he's enjoying having more girls around. Mia wanted to play with her and I think it will fun for her, however she still is not herself, is on medications and needs to remain calm for a few weeks. As for Betty Boop she surprised me and excepted it a lot better than when Mia first arrived, guess she getting use to it. So far day one went great.

Yellow Band-Aid

Our little Mia has been ill since last weekend; she’s been diagnosed with a condition that normally does not strike such a small breed. Today was another emergency visit to the Vet. We are fortunate to have such a good Dr. for our little ones. He quickly returned my call and met us at the clinic within a half hour to treat Mia and get her comfortable. Even though it’s Super Bowl Sunday if Mia needed his attention again I was to call him right away. That’s what I call a compassionate and dedicated doctor. Mia was given several injections and I have some oral medication I can give her should she need it. She is now resting quietly and doesn’t want me out of her sight; we are all hoping (including the Dr.) that this condition will not continue, as it has us all very puzzled.
